fashion statement...

last week B and I were having our usual conversation about getting out the door...

me... get your shoes on and let's go
B... i can't find my shoes
me... are you really looking?
B... i can only find one green croc and one red croc
me... well wear those
B... that's just plan strange mom
me... it's fun, think of it as a new trend

He's been wearing one of each for over a week now...Naturally people comment on them... he just smiles at them... but today we were eating lunch out and a woman asked him if he knew he had 2 different shoes on... he said yes... and when she asked why he said quite proudly...

I'm making a fashion statement...

*** check out the contest at Classy Chaos for the modern version of Crocs... if you thought you weren't a crocs person this might change your mind...

Remind you of long johns under the skirt anyone :)

Good for him! Don't you wonder about people that question it?

I would have a smart aleck in training and have him ask people what they were talking about!

I actually love it.

Good for him for telling that lady how it is.

Good for you not freaking out about 'his choice'. This would totally be something I would do too.

Love that you son *told* her!

Hope you are feeling better :)

I LOVE it! I have one who loses one shoe (CONSTANTLY) and fortunately for me (him), all summer it was always the opposite foot. Being a 4 year-old and the middle child, he was completely cool with his trendy footwear! Now I'll have to tell him I saw it on-line, so it's the cool thing to do (not just the thing to make cranky mommy get out the door in a timely manner and to save his hide!)

Thanks for stopping by Missouri last Thursday!

I love it!

I have to say that since the explosion of Crocs popularity amongst kids, I'm surprised we haven't seen a lot more of this already!!!

Oh gosh I wouldn't have been able to handle that quite so calmly ;).
