overcoming my fears...

we had our national sales meeting this past week...
Stone Mountain, Georgia...
and like any good sales meeting there was a team building exercise...

i'm terrified of heights... and not so found of climbing walls with people below me looking at my ass...

but i did it... and would even do it again...

Life is Good...

i have a new boss... and i'm loving it...

he's positive and does a pretty good job of making you feel like he's on your side... i'm sure he isn't perfect but i know that there is so much i can learn from him... and right now that is exactly what i need...

so we had a meeting last week to "get to know each other"...

not that we haven't been working together for 11 years already, but he was managing a different region and my only interactions with him were when i was at a sales meetings or trade shows...

during this meeting he brought presents... life is good t-shirts... and told us to remember that life is good... and indeed it is...

i've often looked at this brand and thought about how clever it was... and when i read that it has an emphasis on simplicity, humor and humility i knew why i was drawn to jake...

and now with a little help from a new leader i'm taking a new look at life... because life is good...

The SIMPLER and FUNNIER the better...

embracing furlough....

like many people out there the struggling economy has shown up @ my job... not so much the work load... just the sales....

(i've just now realized i've never done a post about my job.... or should i say what it is i do... i'll work on that)

so a few weeks back they announced a pay cut with some furlough... and even though the pay cut was not at the top of my list of favorite things to have happened this year... the furlough i'm embracing... especially when i learned it is a word sometimes used in reference to a prison term :)

so today on my furlough day...

i'm not working...
not looking at anything to do with a pen :)...
not thinking about where i'm going next...
i think i'll go get a massage...

and continuing to remember every day that Life is Good...
