Free Friday...

I see these posts everywhere... the why don't you leave comments posts... i know you are out there... am i really that boring???

So I decided I should give away something... as in "a something" from the Something store... remember this one from a while back....maybe... just maybe... people would let me know they were stalking rather than hiding behind their computer...

you never know what might show up... and imagine the blog potential of what might come???

so I'm in to keeping it simple...

Leave me a comment... and not just a pick me comment...be creative... tell me what the best gift you ever got was... Mine in case you are interested is the Kitchen Aide Mixer my now super hubby gave me when I was 24! I was so happy i cried... or tell me what your favorite stories are on some peoples blogs... OR...

I'll choose at random at the end of the day on Monday the 18th...

I'm sure I don't qualify since I'm in the family, but here I am anyway.

My memory is shot so I don't remember too many presents. But wouldn't it be cool if this blog present vaulted to the top of "my favorites" list!?!

BTW, I wouldn't base reader interest on comments. Use feedburner or some other fancy analytics tool from google to track who is reading what.

If you want dialog, I'd turn to Twitter. Follow me http://twitter.com/gregtracy

Greg was clever enough to put your plea/offer out on his facebook status... I am always game for random-ness, so here goes:

My best gift is one I am still waiting to collect, so it truly falls in the "thought counts" category.... About five years ago, after I switched to a digital SLR and was really starting to do a lot more photography, my husband did a bunch of research and found this great place called the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. The gift for my birthday was his offer to watch the kids and hold down the fort while I went to a week-long seminar of my choice, so I could immerse myself in photography and really take it to the next level. I can't remember why I felt at the time that I just couldn't get away, but I'm sorry I waited. I'm still planning on going and still don't know when I will!

p.s. This is Amy-I live across the street from Greg- http://amysprite.blogspot.com/

I know what you mean about people not leaving comments. I wish everyone would be foreced to leave a comment. There's nothing better than seeing that more than one person has commented.

I'd love to have SOMETHING! I think that sight is so great.

One of the gifts that meant the most to me (not sure if it's my favorite in the way you mean, but it's the one that meant the most) was the bride porcelain doll my mother gave me at my wedding shower. And my uncle hand-made a glass and oak doll case for her at my mom's request. She's beautiful, and really let me know that my parents supported my choice of husbands and my upcoming wedding and it really meant a lot.

PS Thanks for coming over the other day and commenting on my blog!! It's fun seeing new faces!

ahhh...the Something Store. I did that once, got a piece of crap but I'll be doing it again because I love the suspense.

I have gotten lots of great gifts in my life so it's really hard to pick just one. But one that stands out as being SO appreciated and very much used was the entire Calphalon Non-stick pots and pans set that my husband and I got as a wedding gift from his aunt and uncle. I couldn't believe anyone actually bought the whole set for me!

My favorite gift was an original poster and unused ticket from Woodstock weekend, framed and very cool looking. It was from my parents and it was super special beacause it was the day I was born, yes, Woodstock weekend. But not at Woodstock, my mom wasn't that hip.

On a side note, my least favorite present, a Weight Watchers cookbook from my boyfriend's mother. Really, what was she thinking, "you're fat and you don't know how to cook." We broke up shortly after...

Hi Marla!

I'm here, the often lurker, and sometimes commentor. Sorry I haven't been around more. I wish I could, just with the vacation, the laptop has had to spend a lot of time closed! Can you believe that? I'm sure my laptop is enjoying the rest! :)

My best gift ever was actually from my mom. She typed and printed out all of her recipes that I loved as a kid, and made me my own recipe book. I love it, and seriously, it ranks at the top of the best gifts ever!!

Fingers crossed to actually win something! :)

The best present I ever received? I know, hands down, every year, it's the unexpected "snow days" we sometimes get during the school year. Talk about a Gift from God...

I have been guilty of letting my reader pile up since I'm still a bit obsessed with my new Facebook account. I've actually been making it a point tonight to try and catch up on blog reading!

I have too many favorite gifts to pick just one, but I would have to say my engagement ring - my hubby was asking me to spend the rest of my life with him, which in itself has provided many more gifts!

I checked out the Something Store - interesting!

New to blogging and am excited about getting comments myself!!!

Best gift ever... My husband arranged for his mom to take our kids overnight on my birthday when I got home from work there were candles and music lighting my way inside the house along with wine and appetizers and tickets to see Lord of the Dance (and Irish Dance group) also dinner afterwards but the best part was that earlier in the day while I was at work he videotaped my two sons making a birthday cake from scratch and singing happy birthday to me. We waited until the next morning to have the cake with them. Hands down the best gift I have ever gotten.
